双交种(double hybrid)

双杂交种的简称。由四个品种或自交系先两两配成单交种,再由两种单交种杂交而得的杂交组合。( A× B) F1 ×( C× D) F1 所得杂种即为双交种。双交种制种成本低,可提高制种田产量,缩小制种田面积。但需较多隔离区,程序亦较复杂,育种时间较长,增产效果往往不及单交种,在生产上的应用已逐渐减少。
