| Comments: | Animals were immunized with aminobenzylphosphonate conjugated to hemocyanin. Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with phosphotyrosine and proteins containing phosphotyrosine. The epitope recognized by P-tyr-1 appears to be on the phenyl phosphate group of phosphotyrosine. The antibody does not react with phosphothreonine or phosphoserine, and is useful in immunoprecipitation and western blot assays. |
