| Comments: | This line is a Class E Thy-1 negative (Thy-1-) mutant derived from BW5147.3 (ATCC TIB-47 ). The mutation affects the biosynthesis and/or addition of the glycophospholipid anchor. The line may be useful in studies of the synthesis and assembly of glycophospholipid linked membrane proteins. The cells are deficient in dolichol-P-mannose synthetase. The cells are resistant to 0.1 mM 6-thioguanine and 1 mM ouabain. |
