illudins是菌菇类产生的倍半萜烯类抗肿瘤生长类家族，对慢性粒细胞白血病和其他癌症显示细胞毒性。通过与DNA相结合，阻断转录过程而造成DNA损伤。而illudins S是家族成员之一，研究中，使用人癌细胞模型，发现细胞持续性暴露在illudins S and M 中，处于6—100nm浓度时对人白细胞有细胞毒作用。细胞动力学研究显示，illudin S导致在细胞停止分化于细胞周期G1-S期,最大暴露时间为2h。
