Purified Monoclonal Antibody against Cancer Antigen 125 (clone OC 125)
(Formerly Signet Catalog Nos: 617-01, 617-16 L1 Predilute, 617-26 L2 Predilute, 617-36 LV Predilute)Intended Use ** In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) ** Clone OC 125 Form Purified Antibody (in 0.01M PBS + 0.1% NaN3 + 1% BSA) Host Mouse Species Reactivity CA 125 Monoclonal Antibody, Purified (SIGNET)Human IsoType IgG1 Specificity This monoclonal antibody recognizes the CA 125 (Cancer Antigen 125) antigenic determinant which is present on a mucin-like glycoprotein of molecular weight greater than 200 kDa. OC 125 reacts with an antigen common to most non-mucinous epithelial ovarian carcinomas. It is positive in serous and endometrioid adenocarcinomas, Krukenberg’s tumor, and uterine myoma. Mucinous tumors (benign, borderline, malignant) and normal ovarian epithelium are negative. The CA 125 antigen is also detectable on the apical surface of normal endometrium and endocervix. Normal breast, skin, liver, spleen, and kidney are negative.
This antibody was generated against an ovarian cancer cell line OVCAR433 derived from a patient with serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma.

Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. - IHC: ≥1:40 (concentrated format) for Biotin based detection systems such as USA Ultra Streptavidin Detection (SIG-32250).
Tissue Sections: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues
Pretreatment: For optimal staining, the sections should be pretreated with an antigen unmasking solution such as Retrieve-All 1 (SIG-31910).
Incubation: 60 minutes at room temperature
Notes Positive tissues (human): Non-mucinous epithelial ovarian carcinomas, serous and endometriod adenocarcinomas, Krukenberg’s tumor, and uterine myoma. Storage Store between 2-8°C.
