Description Purified Monoclonal Antibody against CA 19-9
(Formerly Signet Catalog Nos: 616-01, 616-16 L1 Predilute, 616-26 L2 Predilute)Intended Use ** In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) ** Clone 116-NS-19-9 Form Purified Antibody (in 0.01M PBS + 0.1% NaN3 + 1% BSA) Host Mouse Species Reactivity Human IsoType CA 19-9 Monoclonal Antibody, Purified (SIGNET)IgG1 Specificity Clone 116-NS-19-9 recognizes CA 19-9, a carbohydrate antigenic determinant.
CA 19-9 is a sialylated lacto-N-fucopentose II oligosaccharide, which is biochemically related to the Lewis a blood group substance. The CA 19-9 antigen has been identified as a determinant of a glycolipid derived from meconium or certain tumors. In malignant tissues, positive staining of tumor cells is observed in most adenocarcinomas of the pancreas and stomach, and in a large proportion of colon and gall bladder tumors. The antigen is also expressed in approximately half of primary and metastatic ovarian tumors. In normal tissues, positive staining is also observed in columnar epithelium of the pancreas, stomach, liver, gall bladder and in bronchial glands of the lung.
This antibody was generated against SW1116 human colorectal cancer cells.
