Description 
Monoclonal Antibody against O-GlcNAc (ß-O-linked N-acetylglucosamine) Clone CTD110.6 Form Ascites Host Mouse Species Reactivity Eukaryote IsoType IgM [Ab] O-GlcNAc Monoclonal Antibody 3-5 mg/mL Specificity ß-O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) is an abundant post-translational modification occuring on serine and threonine residues. The modification has been detected on a variety of nuclear and cytoplasmic proteins involved in diverse cellular functions. Studies to elucidate the role of O-GlcNAc-ylation have been hampered by the lack of a sensitive, specific assay to identify or purify proteins bearing O-GlcNAc. This monoclonal antibody represents a powerful new tool for the study of O-GlcNAcs role in cell physiology. The CTD110.6 antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide containing Serine-O-GlcNAc. It detects Ser-O-GlcNAc and Thr-O-GlcNAc but shows no cross-reactivity with peptide determinants or other closely-related carbohydrate antigens. Interaction between the antibody and the Ser- or Thr-O-GlcNAc epitope can be blocked by competition with free GlcNAc. Uses This antibody is effective in ELISA, immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation. Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use. Notes O-GlcNAc Monoclonal Antibody Milk proteins may cross-react with the antibody therefore we recommend using BSA or goat serum as a blocker. Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C.
