| Comments: | Animals were immunized with a fusion protein containing the extracellular protion of human Fas and human IgG1 Fc region. Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with the extracellular domain of human Fas and blocks Fas dependent killing of Jurkat cells (a human T cell line). It inhibits the binding of other Fas specific antibodies, and inhibits Fas-L mediated lysis of T cell targets. Cross linked and immobilized huFasM3 stimulates lysis of Fas expressing cells. |
