Comments:
Animals were immunized with IBD virus. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody binds to and neutralizes most strains of IBD virus. It does not react with a newly identified variant of IBD virus.
ATCC complete growth medium: Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 4.5 g/L glucose, 85%; fetal bovine serum, 15% - OR - RPMI 1640 medium, 85%; fetal bovine serum, 15%
Subculturing:
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml.
Preservation:
Culture medium, 95%; DMSO, 5%
