    Mouse Anti Human Monoclonal.

    INTRODUCTION

    PNMT is an enzyme located in the adrenal medulla and it catalyzes the final step of the catecholamine biosynthesis pathway, which methylates norepinephrine to form epinephrine (adrenaline). PNMT has beta-carboline 2N-methyltransferase activity. PNMT takes part in regulating epinephrine production. Glucocorticoid receptors form multimers of PNMT independent of the DNA binding domain. PNMT expression is regulated late in mouse gestation by AP2-alpha and glucocorticoids.

    IMMUNOGEN

    Anti-human PNMT, is derived from hybridization of mouse FO myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human ADK amino acids 1-282 purified from E. coli.

    IG SUBCLASS

    Mouse IgG1 heavy chain and k light chain.

    PURIFICATION METHOD

    PNMT antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-G affinity chromatography.

    FORMULATION

    1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, & 0.1% Sodium Azide.

    STORAGE PROCEDURES

    For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C.
    Prevent freeze thaw cycles.

    APPLICATIONS

    The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500.
