    INTRODUCTION

    Cholinergic Receptor Nicotinic Alpha 3, also known as CHRNA3 is part of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor family. Proteins of this family form pentameric complexes comprised of both alpha & beta subunits. Furthermore, CHRNA3 is ligand-gated ions channel which prticipates in neurotransmission. CHRNA3 has been associated with an increased risk of smoking initiation as well as an increased susceptibility to lung cancer.

    DESCRIPTION

    CHRNA3 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 232 amino acids (32-240 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 27kDa.
    CHRNA3 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

    SOURCE

    Escherichia Coli.

    PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

    Sterile Filtered clear solution.

    FORMULATION

    CHRNA3 protein solution (1mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0) and 10% glycerol.

    STABILITY

    Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
    For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
    Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    PURITY

    Greater than 80.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
