Affinity Purified Biotinylated Polyclonal Antibody against Beta Amyloid (Aβ) 42

This product is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.Form Biotin Labeled Affinity Purified (Stored in PBS + 50% Glycerol; no preservatives or carrier proteins) Host Rabbit Specificity Beta Amyloid 42 Polyclonal Antibody, Biotin Labeled (SIGNET)Covance’s biotinylated rabbit anti beta amyloid (Aβ) 42 antibody is specific for the C-terminus of Aβ 42. The rabbit anti Aβ 42 reacts extremely well with the 42 isoform. The rabbit anti Aβ 42 antibody does not cross-react with Aβ 40 or APP. Altered levels of Aβ isoforms, specifically the Aβ 40 and Aβ 42, have been shown in the brain tissues and CSF of Alzheimer’s disease patients.
This antibody was generated against a peptide conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin.Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. - IHC:
Pretreatment: The epitope must be re-exposed in fixed tissue by pretreatment of tissue using formic acid (70%) for 10-30 minutes at room temperature
Storage Do not store antibody diluted below 50 ug/mL in the absence of protein (i.e.: add 2% bovine serum albumin). The antibody is best stored undiluted at -20°C to -70°C.
