Purified Polyclonal Antibody Nonmuscle Myosin Heavy Chain II-C Intended Use **Research Use Only (RUO)**
This product is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.Form Affinity Purified Antibody Host Rabbit Species Reactivity Mouse [Ab] Nonmuscle Myosin Heavy Chain II-C Polyclonal Antibody, Purified 1 mg/mL Specificity "Nonmuscle myosins" consist of the ubiquitous forms of myosin II expressed in a wide variety of tissue types, in contrast to the muscle-specific isoforms. This antibody detects nonmuscle myosin II-C (NMHC II-C), which is abundantly expressed in muscle, brain, heart, colon, kidney, liver, small intestine and lung. No detectable expression is seen in thymus, spleen, placenta and lymphocytes. Unlike the 11-A and II-B isoforms, II-C is more abundant in adult tissues than in fetal tissues, and expression of II-C is, in some cases, inducible. In brain, II-C is present in areas like the corpus callosum and pons that are characterized by abundant glia and fiber tracts, with fewer neuronal cells.
This affinity-purified antibody reacts with the C-terminus of mouse NMHC II-C protein.Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting (WB). Additional applications will be detailed as they are characterized. Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. - WB: 1:5,000 to detect protein in 5 microgram total lung extract*
