Description 
Goat anti rat IgG Form Serum (contains 0.01M sodium azide) Host Goat Species Reactivity Rat Specificity Goat anti-Rat IgG This antibody reacts with heavy chains of ratIgG and with light chains of all rat immunoglobulins, including IgM. No reactivity is seen with non-immunoglobulin mouse serum proteins. It was raised against highly purified rat IgG heavy and light chains.
This high activity antiserum will achieve the excess needed for efficient cross-linking by the PAP technique and provide maximal staining intensities at the suggested dilution.Uses This antibody is primarily used for Immunohistochemistry applications, but it is also effective in blotting and ELISA assays. It can be used with diaminobenzidine tetrahydrochloride (DAB) substrates for detection with peroxidase. Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use. Covance antibodies may not be resold or modified for resale without prior written approval. - Western blot: 1:100 to 1:400

Goat anti-Rat IgG Once activity with this initial dilution has been established, staining conditions may permit higher dilutions without decrease in staining intensity. We do not recommend use of our goat anti-rat IgG at higher concentrations. Concentrations higher than those recommended may produce a brown background and decrease specific staining intensity. The extent of permissible dilution beyond those recommended for general application depends upon nature and concentration of the antigen examined, species of the antigen, mode of fixation and kind of section examined.Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody.
