Specificity
The P1F6 monoclonal antibody was generated against human small cell lung carcinoma cells (UCLA P3). P1F6, reacts with the αvβ5 integrin complex. This antibody does not cross react with any other αv containing integrin and completely inhibits αvβ5 dependent binding to vitronectin coated surfaces.
Uses
This antibody is effective in immunoprecipitation (IP) of the αvβ5 complex under non-reducing conditions from surface-labeled cell lysates and can also be detected in focal adhesions by immunofluorescence (IF).
Suggested Working Dilution
Integrin αvβ5 Monoclonal Antibody The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.
IF: 1:1,000
IP: 1:1,000
Storage
Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C.
