UNC0638是BIX-01294的类似物，但是具有更高的活性和更低的细胞毒性，并诱导caspase活性。UNC0638是强效的，选择性G9a HMTase和GLP抑制剂，IC50分别为15 nM，19 nM。还可以显著地降低MCF7细胞集落形成，并降低乳腺癌，前列腺癌，结肠癌和正常成纤维细胞中H3K9me2水平[1, 2]。

UNC0638(G9a HMTase and GLP inhibitor)应用实例（仅作参考）：
1) 为检测UNC0638在细胞内的作用，用UNC0638(10-104 nM)处理MDA-MB-231细胞48 h。发现，UNC0638以浓度依赖的方式境地H3K9me2水平，IC50值为81 nM，而且具有比BIX01294更强的活性。另外，用UNC0638 (70，320 nM)处理MCF7时，发现，UNC0638并不改变DNA甲基化水平[1]。
