已有研究采用脱氧核糖核酸钠盐为研究对象，研究了酶抑制剂和吸收促进剂对Caco-2细胞口服鲑鱼降钙素的细胞毒性。已有研究应用脱氧核糖核酸钠盐研究了隐孢子虫卵囊DNA的提取方法。以鲑鱼睾丸中的脱氧核糖核酸钠盐为基础培养基，对几种莫氏芽孢杆菌进行了厌氧生长试验，它还被用作基于微板的基质染色质免疫沉淀(ChIP)的免疫沉淀(IP)缓冲液的组分。鲑鱼精脱氧核糖核酸(SS-DNA)可用于研究DNA与结合剂、插入剂、修饰剂、检测剂和致密剂的物理化学相互作用。鲑鱼精DNA被用于研究磁性介孔二氧化硅纳米颗粒(M-MSNs)的负载能力和聚合物纳米层结构的结合能力。SS-DNA可作为开发DNA检测方法的底物。
