一般描述
腹足类血青素是一种大型糖蛋白(4到8 MDa)，由10个亚基的复杂排列设计而成，这些亚基自组装成直径35纳米的空心圆柱体。
血青蛋白是一种高分子量的含铜糖蛋白。它可逆的与氧气结合，形成软体动物的细胞外呼吸蛋白。钉形贝血蓝蛋白(KLH)是由 巨齿蛇血淋巴过滤得到，也被称为巨星钥孔虫。它原产于南加州海岸和墨西哥。
应用
钉形贝血蓝蛋白(KLH)是一种在实验动物和人类中强大的和众所周知的免疫刺激剂。它已被用作半抗原载体蛋白，以增强抗原特异性T细胞启动，并已知可刺激CD4+ T细胞反应。血红素刺激Th1反应而没有已知的副作用，这使它们成为长期连续治疗癌症的理想药物。
外形:稳定缓冲盐冻干
重悬:采用去离子水复配KLH浓度为10 mg/mL，在含0.46 M NaCl、2% PVP和41 mM蔗糖的31 mM磷酸钠缓冲液，pH 7.4中，得到乳白色溶液。
复溶的蛋白溶液液可在−20°C保存长达2个月。
