本产品为大肠杆菌中表达的克隆重组体。主要催化DNA上相邻的5`-磷酸基与3`羟基之间形成磷酸二酯键。 主要用途是连接带匹配粘端的DNA分子，或使平端的双链DNA分子互相连接或与合成接头相连接。也可以催化DNA与RNA之间以及少数RNA之间的连接，但不能催化单链DNA之间的连接。
