Description :The 105/A2B5 antibody recognizes a membrane protein that is expressed by chicken retinalcells, neuronal cells, ganglia, and spinal cord. In combination with other markers, this antibodycan be used to differentiate between type 1 and type 2 astrocytes. The antibody recognizespolysialogangliosides and can be used to monitor glial cell development. A2B5 antigens areexpressed by a variety of tumors including glioblastomas. Tumors expressing A2B5 antigenexhibit higher recurrence. The A2B5 antibody can also be used to identify progenitor cells.

Recommended Usage :Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometricanalysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤0.5 µg per million cellsin 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for eachapplication.
* Alexa Fluor® 647 has a maximum emission of 668 nm when it is excited at 633 nm / 635 nm.
