描述
钙视网膜蛋白是一种钙结合蛋白，在中间神经元和大脑的多个区域大量表达，包括脑干、下丘脑、海马和小脑。钙视网膜蛋白参与调节细胞内钙信号传导和调节神经元兴奋性。钙视网膜蛋白阳性中间神经元的丢失和重组已被认为是人类癫痫的可能原因。此外，钙视网膜蛋白被认为是诊断恶性间皮瘤最敏感和最特异的标志物。
Calretinin is a calcium-binding protein that is abundantly expressed in interneurons and multiple regions of the brain, including the brainstem, hypothalamus, hippocampus, and cerebellum. Calretinin is involved in regulating intracellular calcium signaling and modulating neuronal excitability. Loss and reorganization of calretinin-positive interneurons have been indicated as possible cause in human epilepsy. In addition, calretinin is considered as the most sensitive and specific marker for the diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma.
