　　在植物社会的植被区分中，特别指用于识别亚群落（亚植物社会subassociation）和变群落（vari－ante）等群落下的单位的种类，在某个群落之中仅一部分出现，据此在这一部分与其他部分相区别时，这种（群）便成为该群落部分（亚群落）的识别种。识别种有时以特征种为基础，用于识别群落及其以上的单位。
