[1]亦称原核。有雌前核（卵核）和雄原核（精核）之分。

　　[2]指纤毛虫类的小核。由于生殖时大核消失，仅小核进行活动，故有此名。

　　[3]种子植物花粉内形成的生殖细胞，这是把细胞误认为核之词。
