        Abstract

The DNA Polymerase Database (Polbase) is intended to compile the wealth of existing DNA polymerase information from public and private records into an open, searchable database. Curr. Protoc. Mol. Biol. 99:3.25.1?3.25.2. © 2012 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Keywords: DNA polymerase; database; reverse transcriptase; polymerase fidelity

        Figures

        •   Figure 3.25.1 The polymerase index page provides a sortable/filterable list of polymerases and selected properties. In this example, polymerases have been sorted by family, then by substitution rate. Values for each property are presented as a range of values. Each range links to more details about experimental context and to the original publication the result was extracted from. The inset represents the polymerase page for Klenow fragment, which contains information about known mutants and a text summary. Structures, summary results, relevant publications, etc. are also available but not shown in this excerpt.
