[1]两栖类胚胎，来来外鳃形成部位的盘状隆起，也称为鳃隆起（branchial ridge）。其前后为与咽头壁扩张成的鳃囊相对应的鳃沟（体表浅沟）所间隔。不久在其中间也生出鳃沟使鳃弓变得明显，再由鳃弓外表面的突起形成外鳃。

[2]也称为鳃叶或鳃小叶（gill leaflet bran-chial leaflet）。
