        中肠 mid－gut， mit－intestine

        中肠 mid－gut， mit－intestine 亦称主肠（德Hauptdarm）。在胚胎学上为起源于内胚层的消化管的一部分，向前经前肠至口，向后经后肠达至肛门。其形态、功能、名称可因动物种类之不同而形形色色。脊椎动物的小肠是由中肠分化的。中肠与前肠的分界处有肝输出管的开口，在与后肠间的界线上常常产生盲肠。在昆虫，中肠也称为胃，与前肠和后肠不同，它没有几丁质内膜，多数情况是在前端附有数个叫做胃盲囊的腺性盲管。在昆虫的中肠壁上有许多腺体，所以也有乳糜胃（chylestoma－ch）、乳糜肠（德Chylusdarum）等称。
