特征种 characteristic species

　　对于某种特定群系等的植物群落，其适合度（ gesellschaftstreue）高的植物，称为该群落的特征种。从群落方面来看，其群落可以根据它们的特征种（群）而与其他群落相区别。根据其种的分布区域和把其种作为特征种的群落分布区域之关系，可把特征种分为下列三种类型：（ 1）绝对特征种：其分布区域与该群落分布区域差不多相同；（ 2）地方特征种：两者的分布区域并不相等，但群落分布区域约占大半以上（ 50— 90％）；（ 3）局部特征种：其分布区域比群落分布区域显著狭小，在群落分布区域内，其分布只占一部分（ 10— 50％）。绝对特征种较为稀少，多数是地方特征种或局部特征种。特征种因其一般对于立地条件的适应范围狭小，所以多半具备作为环境指标的性质。
