TBE is caused by Tic.k-bor.ne en.ceph.alitis vir.us (TBEV), a member of the family Flaviviridae.
A closely related virus in Far Eastern Eurasia, Russian spring-summer encephalitis virus (RSSEV).
The family Flaviviridae includes other tick-borne viruses are closely related to TBEV and RSSEV, such as Om.sk he.morrha.gic fe.ver vi.rus & Kyasanur Forest virus.
Lou.ping ill virus is also a member of this family.

The E.coli derived recombinant protein contains the Tic.k-bor.ne en.ceph.alitis vir.us glycoprotein E regions, 95-229 amino acids.

Encephalitis protein was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Protein is >90% pure as determined by SDS- PAGE.

20mM Tris-MES pH 6.5, 8M urea, 200mM NaCl and 0.05% Tween-20.
