Defensin-like protein 1.

Art v 1, Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort) is a common weed in the Mediterranean area. The significant allergen of mugwort pollen, is a secreted modular glycoprotein with a N-terminal defensin-like and a C-terminal hydroxyproline-rich domain. The reactivity of IgE antibodies is primarily aimed to epitopes located in the N-terminal domain.

Recombinant Art v 1 produced in SF9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a calculated molecular mass of 11,486 Dalton.

Art v 1 is expressed with a 5xHis tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sf9 insect cells.

Sterile Filtered clear solution.

Art v 1 is supplied in 20mM HEPES buffer pH-7.9 and 6M Urea.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 80.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

1. Binds IgE type human antibodies.
2. Immunodot test with positive/negative sera panels.
