Conglutin, Allergen Ara h 6.

Conglutin, also known as Ara h 6.0101 is a part of the 2S albumin protein family. Conglutin along with Ara h 2.0201 are considered as some of the most potent elicitors of anaphylaxis.  Both proteins hold multiple disulphide-bridged cysteine residues, resulting in a tightly coiled, heat-stable, protease resistant core structure. Conglutin causes an allergic reaction in human and binds to IgE.

Recombinant Conglutin produced in SF9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain having a calculated molecular mass of 16,217 Dalton.

Conglutin is expressed with a 10xHis tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sf9 insect cells.

Sterile Filtered clear solution.

Conglutin is supplied in 20mM HEPES buffer pH-7.9 and 6M Urea.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 80.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

1. Binds IgE type human antibodies.
2. Immunodot test with positive/negative sera panels.
