Recombinant Human Ras Homolog

Ras homolog family member V, Rho GTPase-like protein ARHV, Wnt-1 responsive Cdc42 homolog 2, WRCH1-related GTPase, GTP-binding protein-like 2, WRCH-2, ARHV, CDC42-like GTPase 2, CHP.

RHOV belongs to the Rho family and to the small GTPase superfamily. RHOV is a 236 aa protein which regulates the actin cytoskeleton by activating the JNK pathway. RHOV is expressed in placenta, pancreas and fetal brain and operates as a lipid anchor at the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane.

RHOV Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 259 amino acids (1-236) and having a molecular mass of 28.6 kDa.
RHOV is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

The RHOV solution (1mg/1ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.1M NaCl, 2M Urea, 1mM DTT and 20% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
