自然界的一群微生物（主要是土壤细菌）利用外部无机化合物作为电子供体，靠化学暗反应用氧分子进行氧化获得能量，称为无机呼吸，进行这种呼吸的生物称为无机氧化生物。可作为无机呼吸底物的物质有 NH4 和 NO2 - 等还原态氮化合物， H2 S、 S（胶体状）、 S2 O3 2- 、 SO3 2- 等硫化合物、铁化合物以及分子态氢。
磷酸酶的一种。是催化焦磷酸水解为正磷酸的酶之总称。EC 3． 6． 1． 1．仿照磷酸单酯酶，根据最适 pH可分为三种情况：（ 1）在最适 pH为 7.2-7.8，可通过 Mg2 而被活化，含于动物组织和酵母中；（ 2）最适 pH5.0-5.5，含于肝脏、肾脏、霉菌和植物的种子中不为金属盐所活化，可因氟化物而受阻抑；（ 3）最适 pH3.2-4.0，含于肝脏、曲霉和酵母中。
