背景资料：UBA6（GenBank登录号NM_018227）是泛素激活E1，其负责泛素激活。UBA6具有ATP结合结构域和E1家族蛋白中保持的活性位点半胱氨酸。UBA6与E2和E3酶结合用于研究酶动力学，筛选抑制剂和选择性分析。
