MAP3K12-binding inhibitory protein 1 (MBIP) is a 39kD protein high expression in the heart and lung. It is a component of the ADA2A-containing complex (ATAC) complex, a complex with histone acetyltransferase activity on histones H3 and H4, and composed of CSRP2BP, KAT2A, TADA2L, TADA3L, ZZ3, MBIP, WDR5, YEATS2, CCDC101 and DR1. In the complex, it probably interacts directly with KAT2A, CSRP2BP and WDR5. It’s function to inhibit the MAP3K12 activity to induce the activation of the JNK/SAPK pathway.

Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1B(TNFRSF1B) is expressed by the gene TNFRSF1B. The soluble form is produced from the membrane form by proteolytic processing. It can bind to TRAF2, and interacts with BMX. It can act as the receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha and approximately 5-fold lower affinity for homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha. The TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits the apoptotic suppressors BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2. This receptor mediates most of the metabolic effects of TNF-alpha.

Ubiquinone Biosynthesis Protein COQ7 Homolog (COQ7) is a mitochondrion inner membrane and peripheral membrane protein which belongs to the COQ7 family. It is expressed dominantly in heart and skeletal muscle. COQ7 is synthesized as a preprotein that is imported into the mitochondrial matrix, where the sequence is cleaved off and the mature protein becomes loosely associated with the inner membrane. COQ7 is involved in lifespan determination in ubiquinone-independent manner and also involved in ubiquinone biosynthesis. COQ7 is potential central metabolic regulator. Human COQ7 protein contains 179 amino acids, is mostly helical, and contains an alpha-helical membrane insertion. It has been shown that mutations in the gene are associated with increased life span.
