When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

Able to use UDP-galactose to synthesize galactosylceramide with 10% of efficiency with which it utilizes UDP-glucose. [Catalytic activity] UDP-glucose + N-acylsphingosine = UDP + D-glucosyl-N-acylsphingosine. Lipid metabolism; sphingolipid metabolism. [Subcellular location] Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Belongs to the glycosyltransferase 2 family.
