Ribonuclease 3 (RNASE3) is a basic protein that is localized to the eosinophil primary matrix and belongs to the pancreatic ribonuclease family. RNASE3 is released during degranulation of eosinophils. RNASE3 possesses a wide variety of biological activities. RNASE3 interacts with bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and lipoteichoic acid (LTA). RNASE3 exhibits antibacterial activity, including cytoplasmic membrane depolarization of preferentially Gram-negative, but also Gram-positive strains. It promotes E.coli outer membrane detachment, alteration of the overall cell shape and partial loss of cell content.

Fibroblast Growth Factor 17 (FGF17) is a member of the heparin-binding growth factors family that is prominently expressed in the cerebellum and cortex. Proteins of this family possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities and they are involved in a variety of biological processes including embryonic development cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. FGF17 plays an important role in the regulation of embryonic development and it acts as signaling molecule in the induction and patterning of the embryonic brain. In addition, FGF17 stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express FGF receptors.

Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 1B (TNFRSF1B) is a member of the Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily. TNFRSF1B contains four TNFR-Cys repeats. TNFRSF1B can be cleaved into the following 2 chains: Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1b and membrane form and Tumor necrosis factor-binding protein 2. TNFRSF1B is a receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-α and approximately 5-fold lower affinity for homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-α. TNFRSF1B mediates most of the metabolic effects of TNF-α. TNF-α-induced apoptosis suggests that it regulates TNF-α function by antagonizing its biological activity.
