Double- and single-stranded calf thymus DNA celluloses are used to study the binding parameters and binding specificity of a variety of proteins, nucleotides, and chemical reagents including anti-cancer agents. Double-stranded and single-stranded DNA cellulose are frequently used in pull down assays and chromatographic procedures.
Source of Antigen and Antibodies
dsDNA, has been specially purified from Calf thymus and tested by ELISA for reactivity with control dsDNA antibodies. It is high mol wt 10-15 million Daltons (41.9 mole % G_C and 58.1 mole A-T; An OD of 1.0 at 260nm=50 ug of dsDNA). dsDNA was coupled to cellulose (>3 ug/mg of cellulose powder). dsDNA-Cellulose is supplied as lyophilized powder. Store at -20oC. Re-suspend desired amount of dsDNA-cellulose in appropriate buffer. DO not freeze and thaw.
Suggested usage
Affinity purification of dsDNA-binding proteins or antibodies.
Storage
Long-term: at –20°C or below in suitable aliquots after reconstitution. Do not freeze and thaw and store working, diluted solutions.
Stability: 6-12 months at –20oC or below.
Shipping: Room temp for powder.
