| 产品描述： | Osteoprotegerin (OPG) acts as a decoy receptor for RANKL by neutralizing its function in osteoclastogenesis. OPG inhibits osteoclast activation and promotes osteoclast apoptosis in vitro. OPG is up-regulated by increasing calcium concentration and estrogens. Defects in OPG are the cause of juvenile Paget disease, which is characterized by rapid bone remodeling leading to deformities, fractures ans osteopenia. |
