Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL; also called lipocalin 2, siderocalin and neutrophil lipocalin) is a member of the lipocalin family of proteins which bind and transport small lipophilic molecules. NGAL is released by activated neutrophils and occurs as 25-kDa glycosylated single protein chain monomers, which form dimers and small amounts of higher oligomers, as well as complexes with matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9; gelatinase B). Low level expression of NGAL in a variety of epithelia may be increased in inflammation or cancers. The expression and release of NGAL from renal tubules are dramatically increased by ischemic or nephrotoxic injury. This antibody is specific for human NGAL. No cross-reaction with NGAL from mouse, rat, pig and dog has been detected.
克隆类型:
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

免疫原:
Human recombinant NGAL adsorbed to aluminium hydroxide gel.

应用范围:
E, WB
应用说明:
Product Cat. No. 250387 reacts in ELISA with human NGAL in solution or coated directly onto the well. Cat. No. 250387 (as capture antibody) forms a sandwich ELISA pair with Products Cat. No. 250386 and 254530 (as biotinylated detection antibody) for measuring human NGAL. When 250387 is used as biotinylated detection antibody with 254530 as capture antibody, the assay reacts equally with NGAL monomer and homodimer on a mass basis. E: 1:200; WB: 1:50
