这种DMEM高葡萄糖培养基是一种添加了丙/酮酸钠的1x完全培养基。 它还与原始DMEM高葡萄糖配方的不同点在于用吡哆醇代替了吡哆醛。 吡哆醛是一种不稳定的培养基成分。
应用
Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium（DMEM）是对Basal Medium Eagle (BME)的一种改良，含有四倍浓度的氨基酸和维生素。 原始的配方含有1000 mg/L的葡萄糖并用于培养小鼠胚胎细胞。 从此，它被按照多种方式进行修改以支持小鼠和鸡细胞的原代培养，以及多种正常和转化细胞。 这些培养基都可提供一种不同的L-谷氨酰胺和丙/酮酸钠组成。 此外，葡萄糖浓度也被提高至4500 mg/L，因此被命名为“DMEM/High”。
