热休克蛋白背景知识
热休克蛋白 (HSPs) 存在于所有生命体的各种细胞里，功能也是多样的。 当细胞受到来自外环境的刺激时，例如高热，过冷，氧缺乏，它的表达就会增多，所以更多的时候它被认为是应激蛋白。
热休克蛋白不只是出现在细胞受到不利刺激的时候，它也在时刻监控着细胞的其他蛋白质，将他们由细胞中的一个区室（compartment）运到另一个区室， 或者是把衰老的蛋白运到指定地移除。热休克蛋白也被认为有帮助呈现特定氨基酸序列在细胞表面，从而使病态细胞易被免疫系统发现的功能。 热休克蛋白也有分子伴侣功能，确保细胞内的蛋白质以正确的形态出现在正确的时间，正确的地方。例如，热休克蛋白帮助新生成的或者扭曲的蛋白质折叠成正确的 形状以确保它们正常的功能。热休克蛋白主要有 Hsp90, Hsp70, Hsp60, Hsp40 and Hsp27，还有其他一些小分子热休克蛋白。
