Application
Use Micr-o-protect as effective preservative in reagents, containing buffers,
detergents, enzymes and other proteins.

Properties
Antimicrobial effect: Due to the compatibility of both biocides used, the
preparation is extraordinarily efficient at low working concentrations against
pro- and eukaryotic microorganisms. Moreover, the combination of both
substances provides a higher degree of protection, because development of
resistance is prevented.
Toxicity: Harmless at recommended concentrations; not carcinogenic or mutagenic
(Ames-test negative).
Recommended working concentration: 0.1-0.4% (v/v)
pH Optimum: 5.0-7.5
Stability: Stability is lowered at pH >8.5 or <5, at temperatures >+40°C,in the
presence of reducing and oxidizing substances and in the presence of strong
nucleophilic substances.
Compatibility: Micr-o-protect is well compatible with detergents, all commonly
used organic and inorganic buffers and proteins.
