Description 
Polyclonal Antibody against C-Terminal Human PEN2 (CR8) Form Antiserum Host Rabbit Species Reactivity Human Specificity PEN2 (C-term) Polyclonal AntibodyThe gamma secretase is a multiprotein complex consisting of presenilin, nicastrin, Aph-1 and Pen-2; all four proteins are necessary for full proteolytic activity. The gamma secretase complex catalyzes cleavage of a number of integral membrane proteins including Amyloid precursor protein, Notch, Erb4 and E-cadherin.
Pen-2 is a protein of 101 amino acid length that traverses the membrane twice, with both its C- and N- terminal domains facing the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum and is required for endoproteolysis of presenilin and activation of the gamma secretase.
This antibody, CR-8, was raised against the C-terminal residues of Pen-2 and recognizes the residues FQIYRPRWGALGDYLSFTIPLGTP of Pen-2.Uses This antibody is effective in western blot and immunoprecipitation. Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.
