Purified Monoclonal Antibody against Prion protein, 6D11

This product is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.Clone 6D11 Form Purified Antibody (in PBS; no preservatives or carrier proteins) Host Mouse Species Reactivity Prion (6D11) Monoclonal Antibody, Purified (SIGNET)Human, Bovine, Sheep, Mule Deer, Elk, Mouse, Hamster IsoType IgG2a, kappa [Ab] 2.0 mg/mL Specificity 6D11 reacts with both the PrPc and PrPsc forms. The epitope falls within amino acids 93-109 of PrP.
This monoclonal antibody produced in the Integra flask system using serum free media and was purified using protein A affinity chromatography.Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and ELISA. Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. - IHC: Tissue Sections: Formalin-fixed human and animal paraffin embedded brain sections
Pretreatment: The epitope must be re-exposed in fixed tissue by pretreatment of tissue using one of the following procedures:
1. 70% Formic acid for 10-30 minutes at room temperature
2. Hydrolytic autoclaving
