Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) is the most abundant phosphatase specific for serine- and threonine- phosphorylation in mammalian cells. De-phosphorylation of substrates targeted by PP2A plays a vital role in a large variety of cellular processes including signal transduction, regulation of the cell cycle, gene expression and development. This monoclonal antibody was raised against human Aα subunit 7. 5H4 recognizes an epitope in binding repeat 1 near the N-terminus of the protein and immunoprecipitates free A subunit and core enzyme, but not holoenzyme.
Uses
This antibody is effective in immunoprecipitation (IP).
Suggested Working Dilution
PP2A Alpha Subunit (5H4) Monoclonal Antibody The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.
IP: 1:150
Storage
Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C.
