    应用:L-精氨酸单盐酸盐已被用于研究氨基酸在促进果蝇(Drosophila melanogaster)食物消耗中的作用。它还被用于开发大鼠的非侵入性慢性胰腺炎模型。

    生化/生理作用:L-精氨酸是一种半必需氨基酸。这种二元氨基酸可作为肌酸酐的前体，是大多数膳食蛋白质的天然成分。一氧(yǎng)化氮合成酶的底物，可以转化为瓜氨酸和一氧(yǎng)化氮(NO)。通过与一氧(yǎng)化氮相关的机理诱导胰岛素释放。
