CNTF抗体 Usage Guide特异性 :
Direct ELISA : This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Rat CNTF. The detection limit for Rat CNTF is approximately 0.078 ng/well.
储存方法 : This antibody can be stored at 2℃-8℃ for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20℃ to -70℃. Preservative-Free.
Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

CNTF Antibody BackgroundCiliary neurotrophic factor, also known as CNTF, is a cytoplasm protein which belongs to theCNTF family. CNTF is a survival factor for various neuronal cell types. It seems to prevent the degeneration of motor axons after axotomy. CNTF is expressed in glial cells within the central and peripheral nervous systems. CNTF stimulates gene expression, cell survival or differentiation in a variety of neuronal cell types such as sensory, sympathetic, ciliary and motor neurons. CNTF attracts considerable attention because it supports survival and differentiation of various types of neurons and glial cells. CNTF functions as a moderate neurotrophic factor in mature motor neurons. CNTF is not essential for neural development, but instead acts in response to injury or other stresses. The CNTF receptor complex is most closely related to, and shares subunits with the receptor complexes for interleukin-6 and leukemia inhibitory factor. The specificity conferring alpha subunit of the CNTF complex (CNTFR alpha), is extremely well conserved across species, and has a distribution localized predominantly to the nervous system and skeletal muscle.
