【背景资料】：Unable to form K6 polyubiquitin chains and conjugates. Recombinant untagged protein K6R ubiquitin, in which Lys6 has been mutated to arginine, is unable to form multi-ubiquitin chains via Lys6 linkages with other ubiquitin molecules, while preserving the ability to form an active thioester at the C-terminus and, therefore, the ability of K6R ubiquitin to be transferred to the lysines of substrate proteins.
