【背景资料】：USP9X is an X-chromosome linked member of the ubiquitin-specific protease (USP) subfamily of deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs). USP9X is the mammalian homolog of the Drosophila fat-facets (faf) gene, which is essential for normal eye development and viability of the early fly embryo. Similarly USP9X expression is critical for normal mammalian development. USP9X has been shown to be overexpressed in a variety of human cancers and has been linked to enhanced cell survival and chemoresistance through its ability to deubiquitinate and stabilize the Mcl-1 oncoprotein. These observations suggest USP9X as a potential therapeutic target in the context of human malignancies such as follicular lymphomas and diffuse large B-cell lymphomas. Recombinant enzyme catalytic domain (amino acid residues 1545-1963) expressed with N-terminal GST-tag. Possess deubiquitinating activity in vitro.
