| 描述 | Beta-Sitosterol (SKF 14463) is a natural product, a phytosterol, which is widely found in the plant kingdom. The intake of Beta-Sitosterol has been linked to the incidence of a number of chronic diseases, such as a significant reduction in serum cholesterol. |
| 体外活性 | 方法：牛乳腺上皮细胞 MAC-T 用 Beta-Sitosterol (0.01-40 µM) 处理 24 h，使用 CCK-8 assay 检测细胞活力。 结果：0.01-20 µM 治疗组与对照组 (0 µM) 相比没有显著差异。与用 1 µM Beta-Sitosterol 处理的组相比，当 Beta-Sitosterol 浓度超过 5 µM 时，细胞活力显著降低。当 Beta-Sitosterol 浓度增加到 30 µM 以上时，细胞活力显著降低。[1] 方法：人肺癌细胞 A549 用 Beta-Sitosterol (25 µM) 处理 24-72 h，使用 flow cytometry 检测细胞周期情况。 结果：在 Beta-Sitosterol 处理后，Sub-G1 群体细胞的时间依赖性增加，在 72 h 达到峰值 。Beta-Sitosterol 诱导细胞周期停滞于 Sub-G1 期。[2] |
| 体内活性 | 方法：为研究在类风湿性关节炎 (RA) 治疗中的潜力，将 Beta-Sitosterol (20-50 mg/kg) 腹腔注射给胶原诱导的关节炎 (CIA) 的 C57BL/6 小鼠，每两天一次，持续 31 天。 结果：Beta-Sitosterol 治疗减轻脚踝肿胀的症状，抑制小鼠胶原诱导的关节炎、胶原特异性抗体和促炎细胞因子的产生。Beta-Sitosterol 可调节巨噬细胞的功能，可能是治疗 RA 的一种有前景的药物。[3] |

文献和实验C29 H50 O。又称豆甾 -5-烯 -3β -醇， 24R-乙基胆甾 -5烯 -3β -醇。是以谷类（希文， sitos）命名的甾醇（ sterol）。后来已知是α -，β -以及γ -谷甾醇等的混合物。现在知道α体是 C30 甾酵，γ体是 C2 及 C29 的甾醇混合物，因为它们已不被称为谷甾醇，所以仅留下β -谷甾醇具有谷甾醇的名称。它是植物界中分布最广的甾醇，可为毛地黄皂苷（ digitonin）沉淀。

C29 H45 O。又称豆甾 -5， 22-二烯 -3β -醇或 24R-乙基胆甾 -5， 22-二烯 -3β -醇。主要与谷甾醇一起是广泛分布于植物界的甾醇。其醋酸酯的四溴化物难溶于醚，利用这一特点，可从其他甾醇中进行分离精制，用作性激素的合成原料。
